dinnerWe all know the importance of good food… it helps us train better, recover better, etc, etc. Here’s a quick meal I prepared which costs around $2 (based on each ingredient).

A vegetarian patty from Woollies – Macro Mixed Vegetable Burger, 1/4 avocado, 1/2 grated carrot, 1/3 grated beetroot, Rocket Lettuce, 4 cherry tomatoes and a little creamy mayonnaise – never use the “lite” stuff its generally full of sugar! Wrapped up in a Rice Wrap.

Low in gluten, high in fibre, vitamins, etc. Try to eat your protein during the day, so this would make a great evening meal especially on these hot balmy Sydney nights.

I work on the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time I eat well. Enjoy the 20% but the 80% will help you in the long run in your swim, bike and/or running.  Looking forward to the start of Sydney Swimmers from 2015.
